➀ The UK has launched a new regional space cluster, the West of Scotland Space Cluster, coinciding with the Space-Comm Expo Scotland. The cluster aims to support Scotland in securing £4 billion of the global space market by 2030. ➁ The West of Scotland Space Cluster will include local industries, educational institutions, and regional development agencies. The region has capabilities in small satellite design, manufacturing, mission support services, and R&D in fields such as quantum, photonics, communications, and AI. ➂ Scotland has seen significant growth in its space sector, with the first fully-licensed vertical launch Spaceport in Europe, SaxaVord Spaceport, playing a crucial role.
